Rayner’s Stonefruit Orchard is located on Schoolhouse Road in Woori Yallock and is approximately an hour’s drive from the Melbourne CBD. In this fantastic farm, the location is surrounded by beautiful views and many forests but as well as that; there are over 250 varieties of fresh fruit produce including peaches, plums, apricots and nectarines.
The major positives of this land site are that it not only provides fresh fruit all year round, but it portrays many sustainability aspects to maintain its attraction. The site provides a high range of agriculture, lots of food sources, landscape and attraction, a green and healthy environment and no pollution. As well as that, the area is situated in a mountainous range where there is high exposure to rain fall meaning there is no need to waste water.
Australia is not their only consumers, as majority of their consumers are global. This farm is also different compared to other farms as they are committed to look after their farms as their fruits are carefully checked and observed. Also, this farm uses organic fertilizers and all water is collected as they have three dams available. They also incorporated rocks into the foot paths to prevent erosion of the soil.
