The Big Bouquet

The Big Bouquet was found in Healesville. It is a modern flower farm but also a home for some alpacas. The flowers are situated in an undercover glass house so that the temperature is kept at a standard level. They are watered 11-15 times a day however, the excess water flows towards a gutter and through the drain into the tanks to recycle and reuse. There is also a weather station so that the light is blocked during the Summer and the heat is being kept in during the Winter. This prevents the plants from being damaged. The pots are always clean and aren’t reused due to bacteria however the buckets are always being reused. As well as that, plant leaves are usually being swept for mulching. The environment itself is very sterile however chemicals need to be used as a treatment at times. The alpacas are situated in paddocks outside the glass house. These animals are not only used as a display attraction, but they are also provided a safe home with shelter.
